The Raimondi DSRDBC is a professional-grade Diamond Blade Resin Dressing Stone (frequently called the "Red Brick").
It is specifically designed for tile installers to clean, sharpen, and reactivate glazed-over diamond tools. When cutting dense materials like porcelain tile, the blade's embedded diamond grit can become dull or clogged with matrix material. Making a few cuts into this low-abrasive resin stone strips away the glaze, exposing fresh, sharp diamonds to restore optimal cutting speed and efficiency.
Key Specifications & Maintenance Intervals
- Dimensions: Available in standard compact blocks (typically 4" x 2" x 1") or extended sizes (9" x 2" x 1") depending on the distributor.
- Compatibility: Works on wet saw diamond blades (especially continuous rim and turbo blades), diamond hole saws, core bits, and grinding wheels.
- Porcelain Interval: It is recommended to dress the blade every 60 cuts when working with hard porcelain.
- Stone & Granite Interval: Dress the blade every 90 cuts when working with natural stone or granite.
How to Use It
- Pass-Through Method: Fire up your tile saw and plunge or pass the diamond blade rim directly into the dressing stone a few times.
- Side Cleaning: You can also rub the block against the edges of the blade rim to clean off sticky stone dust and slurry buildup.
- Maximize Lifespan: Slice small slivers off the stone during use to cleanly wear it down and maximize the utility of the brick.
