Best Operational Practices
- Humid Use Only: This is strictly a wet-cutting bit. Failing to keep the cutting zone lubricated with water will overheat the matrix, causing instant stripping of the electroplated diamonds.
- The "Angle Entry" Technique: Because it lacks a center pilot bit, you must start the drill at a 45-degree angle to scuff a pocket line into the glaze. Once the bit catches and stops wandering, slowly tilt the drill upright to a perpendicular 90-degree position to finalize the core.
- Gentle Pressure: Let the diamonds do the grinding. Pushing too aggressively will shorten the life of the bit or fracture fragile tiles.
